Pia 由两个相邻的NBS-LRR基因构成(Okuyama et al., 2011)。

利用爱知旭/Kasalath F2 作图群体,通过重组体筛选、精细定位以及共分离分析,将Pia 精细定位到90kb 的物理区段内,并预测出4 个候选基因,其中,Os11g11790 可能性最大(曾晓珊等, 2011; Zeng et al. 2011)。

通过多种基因组学方法,证实Os11gRGA4Os11gRGA5Pia 的抗性都是必需的,即LOC_Os11g11790 和?(Okuyama et al. 2011)。
